You’ll train across five domains aligned to the Data+ (V1) objectives:
1) Data Concepts & Environments (15%)
Data schemas & dimensions; databases, data marts, warehouses & lakes; data types; structured vs. unstructured data; common file formats (CSV/flat files, JSON, XML, HTML).
2) Data Mining (25%)
Acquisition methods (e.g., ELT, delta loads, APIs, web collection); cleansing & profiling (duplicates, missing/invalid values, outliers); manipulation (merge/blend/concat/append, imputation, aggregation, normalizing, parsing); query optimisation (filters, functions, indexing).
3) Data Analysis (23%)
Descriptive statistics (central tendency, dispersion, frequencies, confidence intervals) and inferential basics (hypothesis testing, regression, correlation); selecting appropriate analysis techniques (trend, performance, exploratory, link).
4) Visualization (23%)
Translating business requirements into reports/dashboards; design considerations; development process & delivery; choosing the right visuals (bar/line/scatter, histograms, heat maps, geospatial, tree/stacked charts, word clouds); report types (static/dynamic, ad-hoc, self-service, recurring, tactical).
5) Data Governance, Quality & Controls (14%)
Access, security, storage & use; classification & jurisdiction; breach reporting; data quality controls (validation, rules, metrics, automated checks); when to apply master data management (MDM).
